Giving Back to The Community

Our 2026 Winner

The most recent recipient of Sila’s Power the Nation giveaway was a homeowner in the greater Boston area who had spent nearly a decade living without the basic necessity of central heat. For nine consecutive New England winters, she was forced to rely solely on a wood-burning stove after her buried oil tank rotted out and the connecting lines corroded. What began as a difficult situation turned into a nine-year “survival test” of stoking fires just to keep the brutal cold at bay.

Changing her life wasn’t a standard service call, but a full-scale donation. The Sila team arrived to tear out the failing, environmentally hazardous oil system and replaced it with a high-efficiency heat pump. This upgrade did more than just restore warmth; it provided her with air conditioning for the first time in the home’s history and eliminated her dependency on fossil fuels.

Eric Rowe, Sila’s Director of Revenue, shares that this project was fueled by a “people first” philosophy and a sense of moral obligation. By using ServiceTitan to streamline their daily operations and business analytics, the company can reclaim the time and funding necessary to make these large-scale donations a reality. For this homeowner, the result was a restoration of both comfort and dignity, replacing a decade of struggle with a modern, reliable home climate system.
